Hi All,

Has anyone been able to get around the fact that Verify doesn't allow future dated invoices. I receive an error stating that the invoice date must be today or 365 days before today. I've tried change the eiglobalextra.ini file DaysBeforeCurrentDate parameter, but this does not work. I've been told that this relates to due date only.

Thanks,

Craig

Hello,

My understanding is that, if DoDateValidation is switched on, you have the following checks:
- Invoice date > DaysBeforeCurrentDate
- Invoice date < current date (hard coded)
- Due date < DaysAfterCurrentDate
- Due date > current date (hard coded)

The point is not to forbid some crazy dates. The point is to make sure the format date is correct.
Most of the time, thi date check will be able to rase a warning if the system catches a ddmmyyyy instead of a mmddyyyy format.

Best regards,

Nicolás

Thanks, Nicolas. That's what I've been told.

Does no one else have suppliers that date their invoices in the future? We have a few that may date their invoices one or two days in the future, so these invoices always get stuck.

Hi Craig,
Have you tried changing the invoice definition for  these few vendors.  Make the date field no interpretation?
Kind regards

Take 2 Craig,
I tested no interpretation and it made the date field blank. Doh!  It did not get around the validation check.
Sorry, I have no other suggestion.
Cheers

Thanks for the reply. I've raised with Lexmark to see if this can be raised as a future development, but it doesn't seem like it's a common issue.
